Back with another Halloween lewk!
WICKED WITCH OF THE SE YAASS.
I wanted to do a look that celebrated 'witches' for my next Halloween look, some of the best Fantasy and Adventure films of all times are all based on Female witches. Hocus Pocus (one of my favourites), 'Witches' by Roald Dahl, Maleficent, Charmed, Practical Magic, Harry Potter! the list goes on. With that in mind, I looked back of some of my favourite halloween films and remembered how much I loved the film 'THE CRAFT' . A classic 90s film about a group of four teenage girls who pursue witchcraft - if you haven't seen it you must!.
I based my look on the outfit they wear throughout the films, - pretty classic 'school girl outfit' which is pretty easy to achieve, I imagine everyone owning a white shirt, black cardigan and a black skirt. Pair it up with some chokers and some hair barrettes and your good to go.
A perfect look for those last minute costumes! I took it a little further and painted my face with the trademark green for that classic green witch realness. As well as adding black warts on the face using eyeliner! the perfect way to cover up those spots . All inspired by another favourite of my the Wicked Witch of the West. A modern take on the classic Wicked Witch of the West makeup. A glitter cut crease, big lashes all you will need to do is replace the pointy hat and pair this look a cute beret or a pom-pom hat and you've won costume goals.
For the face gems, came in when I was originally going to do Glinda the good witch. As I started recreating the look I got bored of it and didn't end up liking it. However, I thought it worked quite well with this look, add a little glam to the Wicked Witch of the SE.
This look would be great to recreate with your friends! If you do recreate this for Halloween please tag me!
Would you like to know how I achieved this look?
