YOLK EYES

Finally back in the swing of things, after a few weeks of experiencing really problematic skin, I am back with a really easy makeup look. I've honestly been really enjoying playing and experimenting with a lot of colours recently (check out my Instagram). I recently picked up a new Illamasqua Sketch eyeshadow sticks in the colour 'Higher'.
I've been looking for a yellow eyeshadow base for a while now. I do feel like on my skin tone, yellow doesn't always come up as pigmented as I would like it to be and just looks grey (gross) - especially with my dark circles. So I thought this was a good opportunity for me to try it out, and actually see if it was worth the money!

Eyes

To begin, I used my concealer to mute out any pigmentation I had on my eyes, then following it up with the  Illamasqua eyeshadow stick on top. The first time using the stick it was not pigmented out all! I found myself scraping off the top coating of the stick in order to get some sort of pigment - eeeehhhh excuse me ?!

However, after scraping the top coating I did manage to make it work as a base on my eyelids. I then followed it up with my trusty BHcosmetics First Edition Palette and blended it throughout my lids and slightly through my crease. I've spoken about this palette way too much now but I have to say it again! it is very pigmented, creamy shadows and a dream to work with and it's only £20. I really want to try out some new eyeshadow palettes please leave me any suggestions below!

This look was also really inspired by one of my favourite makeup artists I follow on instagram - Nikki makeup, she created this beautiful bronzey eye with yellow adornments around the eyes. To create these small dots around my eyes, I simply used the end of a bobby pin and dipped it into the shadow (easy). Of course, this look wouldn't be me if I didn't put a gloss on top!

Skin

For the skin, I always start with a super hydrated and tanned base. By using my new Niod photography fluid tan, It gave me a really fresh and dewy base for my Bobbi brown foundation stick in Golden Honey. To conceal and correct, I went in with my Bobbi brown concealer kit in Golden and corrector in very deep bisque (can you tell I really love Bobbi brown). To highlight and contour the skin, I used the Mac studio quiktrik highlight and contour stick in 'Latte Sheen & Semisweet'. After following it up with the Noid photography fluid tan on top for that exxxtraaaa glow. I find that my face is a lot lighter than my body so I always go in with my Guerlain terracotta bronzer to help keep me nice and brown!.

Body

When I wear a top like this, I always make sure I never neglect the neck and chest! especially in the summer. To achieve this bronzey glow,  I used the new Superdrug Solait Shimmer Oil, it is infused with Vitamin E, Argan, Sweet Almonds and Rosehip Oils keeping the body really hydrated and extra glowy. For £4.99 you can't go wrong! It's your summer glow goals -  #notlookingASHYthissummer #melaninqueen

Hope you guys like the look and look forward to more! ayyyee
