HYALURONIC ACID | SKIN CARE

Why you need hyaluronic acid in your life for 2018. Want soft and smooth skin for 2018? Yes?, me too. I've created this post for you on why you need to add this to your skincare routine for 2018.  I have seen a huge difference whenever I don't have a bottle of hyaluronic acid. Now, there is a science behind this magic acid, so here is what I understood from doing my research on the acid including how it has affected my skin. I really encourage you all to do your research before using ANY skincare product.

There are various concentrations of hyaluronic acids you can buy on the market. As technology develops  Companies now are producing Hyaluronic Acid as an external ingredient and in tackling ageing and adding this into our skincare etc. It essentially exists already in our bodies,  it keeps our joints lubricated as well as retaining our skin smooth and youthful appearance. It is the glue that keeps the elasticity in your skin ( of course there are others but this is one of them).
Now, the higher the concentration it is the pricier it gets, the one I always turn to without fail is  The Ordinary Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 retailing at £6 you can't go wrong.
It allows any water to be absorbed into the skin and then adds a layer of moisture to protect the skin barrier. It's odourless, colourless and slimy texture leaves skin looking plumped and hydrated, it also helps to repair the skin's barrier - this is ideal people like me who have eczema.

When applied frequently, hyaluronic acid works as a source to draw moisture into the top layers of the skin which is very useful for all skin types dry/oil/combination. I would definitely recommend people to start introducing this into your skin care routine, as we age the hyaluronic acid in our body naturally depletes and we start to produce less HA in our body.

As you can see from the before pictures, there was a stage where I really suffered from really dry skin. It was only until I started pushing my skincare routine and also introducing the hyaluronic acid into my routine where I saw the difference; and now I apply it morning and night without fail. HA can come in many forms, serums, creams, face masks you name it! I personally prefer serums as it would penetrate the skin the deepest, in turn really getting into the layers of skin to hydrate within, however, there is no harm in trying out other forms of HA.

Here is a list of products that all continue HA (high street and high end)
