Bleu électrique

Currently testing out some new makeup products I recently purchased, I found that I always use the same shadows in every post! (soz).

To achieve a perfect bold cat eye I always recommend going in with a pencil first as a guide for your eyeshadows. To create this bold cobalt eye, I first went in with the Daniel Sandler waterproof eyeliner in 'Blue Velvet' to line the cat eye, the eyeliner it'self is very creamy and effortless to work with.

I then followed it up with the Models Own Colour Chrome Eyeshadow Kit in 'Ultra Marine' to create this bold cat eyeliner. The kit comes with a clear eye makeup primer and of course the creamy eyeshadow, the pigment is truly incredible. I didn't have to build the shadow to built this colour on the lids. The kit is usually £14.99 but is currently only for £7.49 on the model owns website (now! go, go, go). I'm definitely going to pick up more of these long-wearing metallic eyeshadows. I kinda picked this eye shadow up on a whim as I really liked the colour and was extremely impressed with the pigment, they have a  store in Stratford if you haven't been there you need to go. You can also pick this eyeshadow kit on Asos.com.

As I wanted the eyes to be the focus of this look I wanted to keep the skin and lips very minimal and natural. Now that my skin is slowly improving (tank God) I've been able to reach for some of my sheer coverage foundations. For the skin, I used the face & body foundation in C6 and concealed and corrected with LA. GIRL HD in ‘Fawn’ and ‘Orange’. To highlight the skin I used the new Gosh Strobe'N Glow Kit Highlight 001 - really lovely product inexpensive and it's super buildable if you like that stark highlight look.

On the brows, I used another new product I picked up recently, the new Rimmel brow shake filling powders - again a very easy product to work with, very buildable and inexpensive (£5.99 from Superdrug) I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a new brow product. As if the eye wasn't bold enough, I added a small detail on my lower lash line, inspired by the Anna Sui makeup FW12.

Would you try this makeup look out? Whats your favourite colour to wear on the eyes! Let me know below or tweet me @_farzanaahmed

SIDE NOTE: Since going to the Glossier pop up shop I actually haven't touched the goodies that I received on the day. I will be reviewing the Product very soon on the blog! and maybe with a little demo video! Stay tuned!
